Green Building

CHS works with affordable housing providers to coordinate designs and budgets with Green Communities criteria. As a component of many funding sources, Green Communities aligns affordable housing investment strategies with environmentally responsive building practices. CHS employs an USGBC LEED Accredited Professionals who is also a licensed architect and includes a specialty in LEED for Homes. This highly qualified, experienced and credentialed staff can help any housing provider meet their Green Communities objectives.

We have always believed that good design should consider on-going operating costs while contributing to the physical health and well-being of individuals and communities. Even before the “green” movement, CHS was designing affordable housing with energy cost savings in mind.
